SEO Timeline
Typically, search engine optimisation can require a few months before results
are seen. There are a couple of key reasons for this:
- The Google sandbox effect; and
- The timing of search engine spider/robot passes.
The Search Engine Optimisation (SEO) process involves three key phases.

Phase 1 – Research & Analysis:
The first phase of the SEO process involves analysis of your requirements
and the audience you intend to target. This phase is completed within
the first month of the process. As this phase provides the guide for the
optimisation activities that will be performed over the initial months,
our team will work with you to determine:
- Your current traffic performance;
- Your expected traffic performance;
- The audience that is most appropriate to target;
- The key words and phrases that will deliver the most relevant traffic
to your site; and
- The key changes that will be made to ensure your website is search engine
friendly. A summary of the qualities of a search engine friendly site
can be found here.
Phase 2 – Implementation of Key Enhancements:
The second phase of the process involves implementing the key changes your website will require to be search engine friendly, as identified in Phase 1. This phase will also be completed in the first month wherever possible and generally represents the bulk of the optimisation work load.
Phase 3 – Ongoing Monitoring and Optimisation:
The third phase involves ongoing monitoring of your sites' performance and general optimisation tasks, including, but not limited to, link building with other relevant websites and providing content update advice. This is critical as SEO requires an ongoing commitment. There is constant competition to reach higher rankings in the market and the result is that a great ranking maybe very temporary unless effort is made over the long-term to ensure it is maintained.
