Business Process Outsourcing Overview
The Business Process Outsourcing mode of the Como Group is the only permanent contract element of our services. Increasingly, businesses are questioning their own participation in the whole transactional process chain. Various factors are associated with this questioning. Costs, skills shortage, 24/7 requirements and non core business issues are all factors which contribute to the decision to outsource.
There are several pre requisites before finally outsourcing. Firstly, the process chain of events will need to be reengineered to incorporate an off site group and to (re) highlight decision making points and timelines. This exercise also serves to involve the on site business group in the process. Quality systems and work rates are generally reviewed at this time.
The second major requirement is that of electronic document management throughout the transactional process chain. Once this step is completed it is easily possible for off site people to become associated with the business.
Thirdly are the technology and security requirements to ensure efficient document flow and the protection of all confidential information.
